Renate - I love your posts and always learn something. It's interesting that when Cleo escalates toward Turbo, the bay and the chestnut horses both approach and seem to either offer protection or friendship toward Cleo. The dark horse in the background doesn't participate, just keeps grazing, which is also interesting. I always share your posts with my daughter. Thanks as always. Lenore Mitchell - Colorado

Hi Lenore, thank you so much for your comment! I am so glad you like my posts and find them useful. Also, well spotted with the other horses! I agree that there are some really interesting interactions happening in the video. For context, the bay (gelding) and chestnut (filly) had been in a group with Cleo for several months, but neither had met Turbo before this interaction. So it is really quite interesting to me that they don't really approach Turbo, but let Cleo greet him first and then flock to her rather than engage with him. The black (older mare) was also part of the original group, but seems to have a different relationship to the others. Lots of complexity!
